Pastor Perkins's Bio
Pastor Marlon T. Perkins Sr.
Marlon Tyrone Perkins, Sr. is the pastor of Living Waters Worship Center of Seventh-day Adventists in Dallas, Texas. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he is the seventh of eight children of Ousley and Billie Gloria Perkins.
Pastor Perkins holds a B.A. in Political Science from Rhodes College and a Master of Divinity from Andrews University Theological Seminary. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership (2024). As a sophomore in college, he was awarded The Lyndon B. Johnson Congressional Internship for the Washington, D.C. office of former U.S. Representative Harold E. Ford, Sr. It was during that internship that Pastor Perkins began experiencing the spiritual bidding's that would eventually lead him into pastoral ministry, although his collegiate studies had been preparing him for a career in law.

Pastor Perkins’s thirty-year ministry has spanned the northwest, mid-west, and the south, as he has pastored in the states of Washington, Iowa, and now Texas. In addition to a multitude of pastoral duties, he has conducted a number of seminars in the areas of theology, religious liberty and personal development for church and non-church audiences alike. Pastor Perkins is a published author and released his first book, Restless Pursuit: Discovering the Pathway to Purpose in Your Life (Lulu Publishing), in June 2019. In 2018, he formed Purpose-Full Pursuits LLC (www.purposefullpursuits.com), a ministry dedicated to equipping individuals to discover and pursue their God-given purpose in life.

Pastor Perkins enjoys being the father of two young adult children—Marlon Jr. and Reba—sports, traveling, home improvement projects, and spending time with family and friends. His greatest joy is simply being a son and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.
